status
things seem to be coming together...finally. spent the last two days riding through the canyons north of la. beautiful to say the least. the bikes are great, damn it feels great to ride. what i thought it would feel like to be atop a motorcycle. something like the opening chapters of ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE.

dont wanna be arrogant but i hated that book!!! tried so hard to finish it and finally gave up when i had only something like 50 pages to finish...so many metaphors and phony language that seemed out of place for me.though i agree it should feel great to be on a motorcycle. glad you are keeping up with your blog again... be safe adamcim.

i think ruth got it, she is just trying to be funny, oh so funny. real nice ruth, i know you wish you had a bike for those very reasons.
the book was rather dense in spots, but the first little bit is about him and his son riding across the northern states on their way to montana. he talks a bit about riding a bike on the sideroads as opposed to driving a car through rush hour on the interstate.
Apparently I wasn't quite funny enough. My bad!Thanks for clearing that up Adam.

Adam and John - here's to an easy crossing, great weather, beautiful beaches, cheaper breakfasts and a wonderful jaunt. I am keeping my eye on the weather and everything coming next week is way north of you guys so HAVE FUN! And keep posting. I will try not to be amusing anymore. But it will be quite hard.
